Grey's Anatomy Season 13 "Don't Stop Me Now" Review

Image
So last week's episode of Grey's Anatomy was our first one back since Meredith and Nathan officially became a "thing" after their experience on the plane. I was eager to see how they would play Maggie, given her previous liking of Riggs and how he turned her down. This episode was unfortunately very predictable, which I don't really like when it comes to shows, I enjoy suspense. This episode opens with Meredith in front of a mirror rehearsing what she's going to say to Maggie about her and Nathan, with Alex getting ready to leave around her while being forced to listen to the role play. They finally decide on one in the hospital bathroom, but the plan is foiled when Maggie figures out the newest couple at the press conference that was being held to honor the achievements of what happened on the plane. She's annoyed, hurt and angry as we expected, moving from ignoring, to rudeness, to tears. Maggie finally seems to forgive her at the end, when she agrees ...

Grey's Anatomy Season 13 "In the Air Tonight" Review

Image
In the Air Tonight aired on yesterday, April 12, and I did just watch it because I wasn't able to catch it in real time. This episode was amazing, and I liked the way that is just focused on two characters. A bit of background on this episode: The episode opens with a plane that seems extremely crowded and with passengers that don't at all seem to be very happy. Meredith is then shown reprimanding a passenger for shaming a mother who couldn't get her child to stop crying. Meredith then switches seats with the child's father, who ended up in the back of the plane due to late booking so that he could be near his wife and child. The seat Meredith switches into happens to be in the same row as Nathan Riggs. Long story short, later, Meredith goes to use the restroom and ends up in there with Nathan. We all know what that led to. The plane then encounters severe turbulence and there a many injuries. It is also revealed that both Meredith and Nathan had been in a plane crash...

What's Been Going On? Updates, Accomplishments, Plans and More!

Let's begin this with saying that I know I promised to review more, and post more, and change the way this blog has worked, and I'm aware that I haven't been able to yet. But, I am in the process of doing my best to begin doing that, and that starts with this post. I reemerged from radio silence about twenty minutes ago (you'll be reading later) to scribble out a review of Grey's Anatomy's latest episode. The reason it took so long for me to get back to this was because school has been insane, and I just haven't had the time. My schedule is super booked this year, especially because I do take part in athletics, and I have a ton of extra activities that I have committed my time to this year. As most of you know, I am still in school, and homework doesn't go away as much as we beg and plead for it to, and it also doesn't do itself. Unfortunately, that invention still has yet to come out. Here is my lengthy list of life updates for you guys: - I e...

Grey's Anatomy: Season 13 "What's Inside" Review

Image
Hello, people. Yes, I've been away for awhile, school has been insanely crazy. I promise I won't write some long, apologetic blog post about how I'm sorry I haven't been around lately, because I know not many people actually read this blog. I will, however, apologize for beginning my Grey's Anatomy episode reviews in the middle of the season, but please understand that I don't have time to go back and review every episode that came out during my long absence. Law and Order: SVU lovers, I'll to get back to reviewing that show for next week's episode, if I can. I won't make promises that I'm not sure I'll be able to keep. I am in the process of deciding what to do specifically with the TV show reviews, because I don't think that I'll have time to review both SVU and Grey's every week, so I'll figure that out. Right now, I'm thinking that maybe I'll alternate between the two, so I'll do Grey's this week, and then ...

Law and Order SVU "Terrorized" Review

Image
The new season of Law and Order: SVU began with an amazing and powerful episode, Terrorized. This episode aired last week, on September 21, so I apologize for this being late. This episode was absolutely amazing, but also extremely intense. A short background on this episode; patrol finds a boy playing in the sandbox alone(his aunt had been killed by a bicyclist a couple minutes before), and the officer is told to call SVU. When Benson arrives, she attempts to get the child, whose name is Ali, to come with her and Noah. The boy refuses, and pulls a gun out of his backpack, aiming it casually at the lieutenant. Benson grabs the gun and then comforts Noah who is behind her. Later on, at the hospital, Benson is told that the boy has no serious injuries and no signs of sexual abuse. Olivia insists that he had to have gotten the gun from somebody when Rollins asks if they should hand it over to another precinct. The detectives soon realize that Rahima, the woman who was killed by the cycl...

My Love For Grey's Anatomy: Explained

Image
Grey's Anatomy popped into my life as a recommendation from a friend, who noticed that I had loved Red Band Society, in its short bid on Fox. I never though I would enjoy a medical drama as I don't really care for bloody surgeries and massive crush injuries that always seem to be flooding my screen whenever I choose to sit down and settle in for a nine hour marathon of Grey's. But that ship sailed.... I also loved the way that this show incorporated love and work. I am NOT a fan of love stories and love dramas and pretty much anything love related(just ask my sister). But somehow, this show's ability to make the drama work-centric and love-centric made it highly amusing and addicting. But nonetheless, in some episodes, the scenery is just a little much. Also, as pathetic as this sounds, Grey's gave me something to watch when Law and Order: SVU went on break for a month and I was in search of another show to devote my attention to, because yes, I just need...

Evolutions

Image
To be perfectly honest, I've been wondering what all to do with this blog. As most of you know, I have spent my first six months blogging about TV shows(Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order SVU) and reviewing a couple books. This blog was originally created to review and share. I wanted this blog to take on many different topics, but I fell into the rut of only doing TV show reviews, which doesn't seem to make a very.... interesting .....blog. I also realized, in the month of May, when SVU took the extremely long hiatus, that reviewing TV shows has its limits. TV shows go on breaks, and if I only rely on them for content in my blogs, then during the summers, I won't have much to write about because that's when filming happens for the main shows that I review. Before you worry about this becoming a personal, "let me stand on a soapbox and tell you the stories of my life" blog, I promise it will not become that. Living Life As Me was created with a purpose, one th...
